The SSP spar is produced in a two-element female mould. The surface of the spar is therefore well levelled and precise at each point. Application of a modular production process reduces the risk of manufacturing errors. The strength of a blade with the SSP spar can be varied without changing production tools, meeting special customer requests.


Knowledge and Technology Transfer


SSP takes pride in helping customers succeed, regardless of the geographical location of their companies. It has great experience in transferring knowledge through careful dialogue, exhaustive training of personnel and – if necessary – help in setting up production. As an


example, the patented SSP Root Solution can be licenced for production on-site. This requires focused training and detailed documentation on production processes and quality standards, all of which are planned down to the last detail.


Training


When providing the whole package for a customer from design of the blade to production set-up, SSP Technology offers education and training of customer personnel (see Figure 4). Training is often a mixture of theoretical and practical lectures on a specific product, e.g. moulds, blades or components. The workforce are thoroughly
