DeepWorks now enables software for the entire upstream process to run on a single platform. It enables users to design, rehearse and monitor (in realtime) the most complex of offshore engineering missions, subsea interventions and marine operational challenges. Just as importantly, it enables users to re-use historical data and any models that are built.
From proof-of-concept through to project review and documentation, DeepWorks has been developed as an integrated suite of tools to help subsea operators undertake each specific project task efficiently and effectively.
Fugro General Robotics Limited Launches DeepTouch DeepWorks supports FGRL’s offshore and subsea clients in minimising risk and speeding up the oil and gas production process. The latest addition to the DeepWorks family is DeepTouch. This is FGRL’s next-generation ROV pilot training simulator that can also speed up the evaluation of subsea engineering designs.
DeepTouch brings fully force-modelled physics simulation to subsea and ROV simulators, so that any object in the world model both feels and behaves like the real thing. For the first time, DeepTouch brings ‘touch and feel’ interactive simulation tools that give the simulator pilot the same graduated tactile response as if he or she were actually using a tool like a manipulator to move or adjust a subsea component in the field.
