|
|
Instructors: Creties Jenkins
Course Length: 5 Days
Course CEUs: 4.0
Course Description
Unconventional gas reservoirs are responsible for about one-third of annual U.S. natural gas production and are an emerging source of gas in the rest of the world. The purpose of this course is to provide practical insights and tools that can be used to efficiently identify, appraise, and develop these types of reservoirs. We will review the origin and mechanisms of gas production, discuss the various techniques used to analyze reservoir parameters and performance, and understand how these have been applied to numerous projects. Participants will analyze case study histories to determine the effectiveness of different appraisal and development strategies and how these can be applied to new opportunities. A course notebook will be provided with copies of Powerpoint slides and key papers.
