Gas Processors Association Europe
The Gas Processors Association was founded in the USA in the 1920's to represent the interests of the many companies involved in the processing of natural gas for fuel and chemical feedstocks. An equivilent organisation (GPSA) was established to represent the interests of those companies that supplied services and equipment to the processors. A parallel organisation was established 20 years ago in Europe and has developed into a strong body with some 200+ individual members and 65 corporate members. Some 15 countries are represented in the membership. In Europe the organisation has combined the interests of the producers and suppliers and has a principle focus to provide a forum for the members to meet to learn about technology advances, practical experiences, and business developments. These events also provide a great opportunity for networking. GPAE organises 4 conferences a year, two of which are usually in the UK and also makes an Annual Aungier Award of £ 500 to a technical paper given by a young engineer during the course of the year
