The Scott Health and Safety portfolio includes a wide range of personal protection equipment (PPE) for the oil and gas sector, marketed under their three global brands: Scott, Sabre and Protector. These include self-contained breathing apparatus, airline and escape breathing apparatus and personal and portable gas detection systems. Sabre have been market leaders in the design and marketing of emergency life-support apparatus and escape sets for over 20 years and the ELSA has become a generic for simple and reliable escape sets worldwide. The ELSA Muster builds on this expertise and has been upgraded for the needs of the oil and gas exploration industries by incorporating an auxiliary air-in supply connection to provide both an escape breathing set and an airline-supplied breathing facility for longer duration use at the muster station.

This is just one example of Scott products being specifically designed for arduous applications.

The Scott and Protector range of powered respirators is equally innovative in meeting multiple hazards simply and safely.

In addition to providing all the user benefits of powered filter respirators the range of head-tops for use on their system combine respiratory protection with head, hearing and face protection as required. This enables the specifier to match the product to the job requirement.

The oil and gas sector frequently require negative pressure filter respirators and the range of face-masks and filters in the Scott portfolio is second to none.

Recognising the need for head protection in combination with eye protection in many applications, the Protector Style 600 helmet provides both a comfortable solution to head protection but also incorporates an integral drop-down shield providing eye protection to EN166.
