NORTRAIN is Norway’s largest provider of Drilling and Well services training, particularly in the field of Wellcontrol and practically related Petroleum technology theory. Our history as a training provider goes back more the 30 years and we have participated in developing the content of many of the training programmes that oil & gas companies and national institutions demand in the oilfield today. NORTRAIN now offer training worldwide. Having set up training facilities in India/Asia and West Africa (Ghana) we train local oilfield workers/trainees and develop their petroleum technology competencies to international standards. NORTRAIN holds accreditation with both IWCF and IADC/WellCap.
Norwegian industry and government required training is translated to complete syllabuses in English, both for entry level positions and driller and well supervisor schools. NORTRAIN also has portable Wellcontrol simulators. NORTAIN offers a complete range of Drilling and Well Services Training, DWST, for junior and senior rig personnel, as well as in-depth specialist courses such as Stuck Pipe prevention, Wireline courses, Subsea technology courses and Wellcontrol courses. NORTRAIN has also developed a very successful 2 day “Introduction to the petroleum industry” for shorebased staff, such as accountants, HR, HES, secretaries, etc. NORTRAIN aims to be your oilfield training provider for the employee’s total career development, from recruitment to experienced senior level.
