Lydall Performance Materials designs and manufactures technically advanced air, fluid power and life sciences filtration products and thermal and insulating solutions for appliance, cryogenic, electrical and building applications. The company has long been a quality supplier of high performance cryogenic insulation products to Global Cryogenic Original Equipment Manufacturers. Industry recognised products such as Cryotherm™, CRSWrap™ and Cryolite™ insulation have been used to insulate a multitude of different tank sizes ranging from small portable LO2 and LN2 dewars to large LG and LNG transport tank trailers as well as media transport piping in industrial process applications.

Lydall has recently commissioned a state of the art Cryogenic Application Development Lab in its Green Island, NY facility to enhance the product characterisation capability under actual-use cryogenic conditions, thereby advancing the development of new products. With this unique capability, we fully expect to be able to not only deliver the temperature performance that is required but to design new products that offer improved processing features to address cost issues, so often a concern of tanks and piping manufacturers. Under a “Space Act Agreement” with NASA, Lydall is utilising NASA KSC’s patented Cryostat-2 in the new lab.
