Galen Cobb is Director of Executive Sales and Business
Development at Halliburton, with expanded
responsibilities for the worldwide development and
promotion of the company’s services and products. He
has broad responsibilities that include managing the
company’s industry relations, energy trade policy issues,
executive client relations and trade organisation
oversight. He has worked for Halliburton for over 32
years in various executive management roles within
operations, marketing, sales and business development. Between 1992 and 1994 he was
Director for the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and China, with oversight for
establishing Halliburton’s presence and operations in these emerging markets. Mr Cobb
is also Chairman of the Petroleum Equipment Suppliers Association (PESA) and serves on
numerous industry, trade association and civic boards, including the Greater Houston
Partnership World Advisory Board, the Houston Forum Board, the Houston World Affairs
Council Board and Executive Committee, the Houston International Protocol Alliance
Board, the World Energy Cities Partnership Board and the Houston Export Council Board.
He is also the 2007–2008 World Petroleum Congress US National Committee Chairman.
Mr Cobb graduated from Oklahoma Christian University in 1974.
